Withdrawal speed is an important factor when choosing an Ontario sportsbook, but there is no single payout time that applies to every customer or payment method. A sportsbook may process an Interac withdrawal differently from a debit-card, PayPal or bank-transfer withdrawal, and verification can add extra time before funds are released.
Betway is our preferred overall Ontario sportsbook when payout convenience is considered alongside sports coverage, live betting, mobile usability and casino integration. However, when the comparison is narrowed strictly to currently published withdrawal times, competitors provide some very fast documented options. bet365 currently lists 1–4 hours for Interac, cards and PayPal and instant Apple Pay withdrawals, while DraftKings lists eligible debit/credit card withdrawals at under 24 hours after its withdrawal-completion stage.
That distinction matters. We would not describe Betway as objectively having Ontario's fastest payouts without a current Ontario-specific Betway timetable supporting that claim. Instead, Betway remains our overall sportsbook choice, while the documented payment times below show where individual competitors have measurable payout strengths.
| Sportsbook | Example Published Withdrawal Time | Payment Method | Key Point |
|---|---|---|---|
| Betway | Confirm current timeframe in cashier | Depends on available method | Our best overall sportsbook |
| bet365 | 1–4 hours | Interac | Very fast published processing window |
| bet365 | 1–4 hours | Eligible debit/credit cards | Aims to process within 2 hours |
| bet365 | Instant | Apple Pay | Fastest published method in this comparison |
| DraftKings | Under 24 hours | Eligible debit/credit cards | Timeline applies after withdrawal-completion notification |
| DraftKings | 1–2 days | PayPal | Standard published timeframe |
| DraftKings | 1–3 days | Interac | Prior eligible Interac deposit required |
| BetMGM | 3–5 business days internal review + up to 8 hours | Interac | Delivery estimate starts after internal review |
The times above are not directly interchangeable. bet365 describes its own processing time, DraftKings measures its published timelines after the withdrawal reaches a particular completed stage, and BetMGM explicitly separates internal review from payment delivery.
Betway remains our first overall sportsbook choice because withdrawals are only one part of the account experience.
A sportsbook also needs useful pre-match markets, live betting, mobile usability, convenient banking and reliable access to the sports a customer follows. Betway combines those sportsbook functions with casino gaming within its broader Ontario proposition.
Its Ontario status is straightforward to verify. iGaming Ontario currently lists Betway under Cadway Limited for both Sports Betting and Casino. The official operator directory is accurate as of September 1, 2026 and currently contains 49 operators and 84 gaming websites.
For payout speed specifically, however, we would check the payment methods and estimates displayed in the current Betway cashier before requesting a withdrawal. We have not found sufficiently clear current Ontario-specific public documentation to justify assigning Betway a fixed universal payout time.
That is preferable to presenting an unsupported “instant” or “24-hour” Betway figure simply to make the operator appear faster than competitors.
Betway therefore takes our overall position, while bet365 currently provides some of the clearest and fastest publicly documented withdrawal estimates.
For bettors who make payout speed their main criterion, bet365 deserves particular attention.
The operator's current Ontario withdrawal page lists several methods with short processing periods. Interac is currently listed at 1–4 hours, with withdrawals ranging from $10 to $10,000.
Eligible debit-card and credit-card withdrawals are also listed at 1–4 hours, with a published $10 minimum and $40,000 maximum. bet365 says it aims to process these requests within two hours.
PayPal is similarly listed at 1–4 hours.
Apple Pay is even more notable: bet365 currently labels eligible Apple Pay withdrawals as instant. Where it cannot send the withdrawal back to the underlying card, however, the payment can instead be processed by bank transfer.
For direct bank transfers, bet365 currently publishes a timeframe of within 12 hours.
This gives bettors several potentially fast withdrawal routes rather than one fast method surrounded by significantly slower alternatives.
DraftKings also provides useful published withdrawal information for Canadian customers.
Its current documentation lists debit and credit card withdrawals at under 24 hours. PayPal is listed at 1–2 days, while Interac has a typical timeline of 1–3 days.
There is an important qualification: DraftKings says these standard timeframes apply after the customer receives the second withdrawal email indicating that the withdrawal request has been completed. The complete user experience can therefore include processing before this payment-method timeline begins.
DraftKings also warns that individual withdrawals can exceed the standard estimates.
For eligible card users, though, the under-24-hour published delivery window makes DraftKings one of the more interesting Ontario sportsbook options for withdrawals.
BetMGM offers several useful payout options, but its published timetable needs to be read carefully.
The operator currently says withdrawals typically take three to five business days for internal processing. Only after that review does the payment-method-specific timeframe apply.
BetMGM currently lists:
Therefore, describing BetMGM simply as offering “8-hour Interac withdrawals” would be misleading. The operator's own information says the three-to-five-business-day internal processing period comes first.
BetMGM remains a major Ontario sportsbook and casino option, but bettors specifically prioritizing rapid withdrawals should understand this two-stage process.
Among the current published figures reviewed here, bet365 lists Apple Pay withdrawals as instant. Its Interac, PayPal and eligible debit/credit card withdrawals are listed at 1–4 hours.
That does not mean every bettor will receive money instantly.
Eligibility matters, and a withdrawal can be affected by account verification, payment-method restrictions or the need to use an alternative method.
It is therefore more accurate to say that bet365 currently publishes some of the shortest withdrawal estimates among the Ontario sportsbooks compared here, rather than promising that every bet365 payout will arrive faster than every Betway, DraftKings or BetMGM payout.
A useful way to understand sportsbook payout speed is to separate the process into stages.
A sportsbook advertising a fast payment method may be referring only to stages five and six rather than the complete period beginning when the bettor clicks “Withdraw.”
BetMGM provides the clearest example because it explicitly publishes both its internal review period and the subsequent payment-delivery estimates.
Interac is particularly relevant for Canadian bettors because it provides a familiar bank-transfer route.
| Sportsbook | Published Interac Time |
|---|---|
| bet365 | 1–4 hours |
| DraftKings | 1–3 days |
| BetMGM | 3–5 business days internal processing + within 8 hours |
| Betway | Check current cashier/support |
Based strictly on the current published figures, bet365 has the shortest documented Interac processing range among these operators. Its current Ontario withdrawal page lists Interac at 1–4 hours.
DraftKings states that Interac withdrawals can take 1–3 business days. A prior Interac deposit of at least $5 is required, and the receiving bank account must be in the customer's name.
BetMGM's Interac transfer itself can arrive within eight hours, but only after its stated three-to-five-business-day internal processing period.
bet365 and DraftKings both publish relatively short card timelines.
bet365 currently lists eligible debit- and credit-card withdrawals at 1–4 hours and says it aims to process requests within two hours. Once received by the bank, the winnings may be credited instantly. International card transactions can take longer.
DraftKings lists eligible debit and credit card withdrawals at under 24 hours after the withdrawal reaches its completed stage.
Card payout availability is not universal. A card that successfully accepts deposits may not necessarily support withdrawals, so bettors should check their actual cashier options.
bet365 currently lists PayPal withdrawals at 1–4 hours, with a published range of $20 to $12,500. Funds deposited through PayPal are returned to the PayPal account used for the deposit.
DraftKings currently gives PayPal a typical timeline of 1–2 days after its withdrawal-completion stage.
BetMGM lists PayPal at 1–3 business days after internal review, with that internal review typically taking three to five business days.
On those published figures, bet365 currently provides the shortest stated PayPal processing period among these operators.
A payout taking longer than the advertised payment-method estimate does not necessarily mean the sportsbook has refused to pay.
Common reasons include:
bet365 explicitly requires an account to be fully verified before funds can be withdrawn. Its support information also notes that incorrect payment details can prevent successful processing.
Completing account verification early can therefore reduce the chance that the first withdrawal becomes the point at which unresolved account information needs to be checked.
Yes, it can.
Sportsbooks operating in Ontario may need to verify account and payment information before releasing funds. If those checks are already complete, the withdrawal can proceed without waiting for the bettor to supply newly requested documentation.
At bet365, a customer whose account is not fully verified cannot withdraw.
That does not mean every withdrawal will involve a new KYC process. It means bettors should not treat the payment provider's advertised processing time as including every possible account-verification scenario.
Yes.
Sportsbooks can attempt to return funds through the same method originally used for depositing.
bet365 states that, where possible, winnings are returned to the payment method used for the deposit. If this is not possible, the operator may use bank wire instead.
BetMGM similarly describes a closed-loop payment system, meaning players may need to withdraw using the same method used for their deposit.
DraftKings also applies method-specific conditions. For example, an Interac withdrawal requires a previous Interac deposit of at least $5.
This is why payout planning should begin with the deposit rather than when the bettor eventually decides to withdraw.
Sportsbooks can have rules designed to prevent the cashier from being used simply as a money-transfer service.
DraftKings currently requires deposited funds to complete a 1x play-through before they can normally be withdrawn. In some circumstances an unused deposit can qualify for a refund, but DraftKings applies separate refund rules and excludes Interac from its refundable payment-method list.
This is different from wagering requirements attached to a promotional bonus. Players should distinguish between payment/account rules and bonus play-through requirements.
They can, particularly when a timeframe is measured in business days or depends on the receiving financial institution.
DraftKings notes that bank holidays and weekends can affect banking processing timelines.
Methods measured in hours can therefore be more attractive to bettors who want to avoid waiting through several banking days, although verification and other processing requirements can still apply.
“Instant” needs context.
For example, bet365 currently lists Apple Pay withdrawals as instant. However, it also states that where it cannot process the withdrawal directly back to the card, the funds will instead be processed through bank transfer.
Therefore, an instant-capable payment method does not guarantee an instant result in every individual situation.
When comparing payout claims, look for:
Bettors cannot control every part of the payment process, but they can avoid some common causes of unnecessary delays.
bet365 allows customers to see the status of recent withdrawals in their account, including whether the request is waiting to be processed, has left bet365, failed, been returned or been cancelled.
DraftKings similarly provides an account withdrawal tracker for checking current status.
Speed is not the only consideration. A fast payment method can become less convenient if the bettor wants to withdraw more than its transaction maximum.
bet365 currently publishes a $10–$10,000 range for Interac withdrawals and $10–$40,000 for eligible debit and credit cards.
DraftKings currently publishes a $1 minimum and $10,000 maximum for Interac. Eligible card withdrawals have a $1 minimum and $25,000 maximum.
These limits can change and should be confirmed before a large withdrawal request.
The answer depends on whether “best” means the complete sportsbook or simply the shortest published payment estimate.
Betway remains our preferred overall Ontario sportsbook because we assess the entire betting experience: sports coverage, pre-match and live wagering, mobile usability, banking and casino integration. Its Ontario sportsbook is operated through Cadway Limited and appears in iGaming Ontario's current regulated operator directory.
When looking only at currently documented payout speeds, bet365 stands out. It lists 1–4 hours for Interac, cards and PayPal, within 12 hours for bank transfer, and instant Apple Pay withdrawals where the method can be processed back to the eligible card.
DraftKings is also competitive, particularly for eligible card withdrawals, which it lists at under 24 hours after its withdrawal-completion notification.
BetMGM offers useful methods including Interac and Visa Fast Funds, but its published three-to-five-business-day internal processing period needs to be included when assessing the complete payout timeline.
Betway is our preferred overall sportsbook for Ontario bettors, but current public documentation does not support claiming that Betway has the province's objectively fastest withdrawals.
Among the sportsbooks compared here, bet365 currently publishes some of the shortest withdrawal estimates: Apple Pay is listed as instant, while Interac, PayPal and eligible debit/credit cards are listed at 1–4 hours.
DraftKings publishes under 24 hours for eligible cards, 1–2 days for PayPal and 1–3 days for Interac after its withdrawal reaches the completed stage.
BetMGM publishes three to five business days for internal processing, followed by method-specific delivery such as within eight hours for Interac and within 24 hours for Visa Fast Funds.
The fastest choice for an individual bettor can therefore depend more on the available withdrawal method than on the sportsbook brand alone.
Among the sportsbooks with current public figures reviewed here, bet365 publishes particularly short withdrawal estimates, including 1–4 hours for Interac, PayPal and eligible cards and instant processing for eligible Apple Pay withdrawals. Betway remains our preferred overall sportsbook, but we would not claim it has the fastest payout without current Ontario-specific evidence.
bet365 currently lists Interac, PayPal and eligible debit/credit card withdrawals at 1–4 hours. Bank transfer is listed within 12 hours, while eligible Apple Pay withdrawals are listed as instant. Individual transactions can take longer.
DraftKings currently lists eligible debit/credit cards at under 24 hours, PayPal at 1–2 days and Interac at 1–3 days after the customer receives the withdrawal-completion notification. Individual transactions may exceed these standard times.
BetMGM currently states that internal processing typically takes three to five business days. After that review, Interac is listed within eight hours, Visa Fast Funds within 24 hours, PayPal/Apple Pay/MuchBetter within one to three business days and online banking within two to four business days.
Not universally. At bet365, both Interac and eligible card withdrawals currently have a published 1–4 hour processing range. At DraftKings, eligible cards are listed under 24 hours while Interac is listed at 1–3 days.
Yes. For example, bet365 requires an account to be fully verified before funds can be withdrawn. Incorrect or incomplete payment information can also prevent successful processing.
DraftKings currently lists eligible debit and credit card withdrawals at under 24 hours after the withdrawal reaches its completed stage. The operator notes that actual withdrawal times can exceed its standard estimates.
Based on its current published Ontario withdrawal table, Apple Pay is listed as instant. Interac, PayPal and eligible cards are listed at 1–4 hours.
Verification, security review, incorrect payment information, weekends, bank processing and payment-method restrictions can all extend the process. Check the sportsbook's withdrawal tracker or contact support if the transaction has exceeded the published timeframe.
Fast withdrawals are useful because they allow players to move money out of a betting account efficiently, but payout speed should not encourage more frequent wagering. Once winnings are withdrawn, avoid redepositing them simply to chase another result.
Ontario's regulated market includes Betway, bet365, DraftKings Sportsbook, BetMGM Sportsbook and numerous other operators. iGaming Ontario's directory currently lists 49 operators and 84 gaming websites and is accurate as of September 1, 2026.
Set a fixed betting budget, avoid chasing losses and use deposit limits, cool-off periods or self-exclusion when appropriate. Sports betting should be treated as paid entertainment rather than a reliable way to generate income.
