WHY SHOULD YOU LEAVE THE KIDS AT HOME?
Following the unqualified success of our pilot project in 2010, Mom and Dad will BOTH be able to enjoy the 2018 The Witness ‘Maritzburg City Marathon experience whilst the kids are safely cared for.
The Maritzburg City Marathon 2018 is, again, going to be a family affair!!
There will be many activities planned for the kids over the whole weekend, ensuring a fun time is had by all.
By kind support of Liberty Midlands Mall, El Sombrero Spur and PinkDrive, for a nominal fee of R40 per child per day, you will be able to drop the kids off at our KidZone.
The KidZone will be up and running between 7am and 5pm on 24th February and from 4.30am till 12 noon on Sunday 25th February (Please remember that it is your responsibility to make sure your child has drinks and meals – Please don’t leave little Johnny or Suzie without checking on them during Saturday expo, fun runs and registration)
The enclosed and secure kids’ area will include:

The area is enclosed with one entry and exit point, and parents will have to sign in and out their children, ensuring that all the kids are safe.
If you’re bringing the children in on race morning remember that you should allow at least 15 minutes checking them in and about 15 minutes to stroll to the start.
The proceeds of KidZone are donated to our official charities
